AN INQUEST has been opened and adjourned into the death on Wednesday of a man at Newport's Earl Mountbatten Hospice.
Alan Edward Green, 65, was diagnosed with the industrial disease mesothelioma, after complaining of chest pains in August last year.
Mr Green was an accountant by profession and had never knowingly been exposed to asbestos.
Island coroner John Matthews adjourned the inquest to a date to be fixed.
